On Resilience with Air Force Leader, Ericka Kelly
This interview with Ericka Kelly, MBA, PMC has deeply touched me.
Ericka in my eyes embodies a powerful leader.
Under her role as a Command Chief, E. Kelly represented the highest enlisted executive level of leadership in the military. She advised the Commander on all issues regarding the readiness, training, welfare, morale, and proper utilization and progress of more than 74,000 civilians/enlisted/officers, active duty, and Reserve Citizen Airmen serving at more than 60 military bases worldwide.
That’s one level of Ericka’s powerful leadership.
I see also another level of leadership that truly inspires me and touches me and one that all of us can strive for, regardless of what kind of role or career we hold.
It’s a powerful leadership that starts with self-leadership and the ability, practice, and skill to deal with what life throws at us and still emerge with hope, kindness, and wisdom at the other side. #resilience
The pain, suffering, and discrimination that Ericka has experienced in her life haven’t made her a bitter, resentful or hateful person. The opposite. She persisted and found out through the pain who she was, and learned to trust in herself, have hope, dream and achieve those dreams. And now is supporting others in the same process with kindness, care, strength, and deep wisdom as an executive and leadership coach, trainer, speaker, and author.
Please help me share Ericka’s story of hope, powerful self-leadership, and resilience.
A story that your current suffering & difficult condition doesn’t dictate your future.
A lesson, that people are not enemies, but the labels, the limiting beliefs, the conditioning are the true enemies that we need to fight.
A story about the art of seeing the human underneath the labels and connecting with each other on that deeper level – instead of looking at each other through the lenses of different labels, titles, social status, race, nationality, sex, etc.
May Ericka and her story bring many sparks of hope to all those who are suffering now. A hope that things CAN be better again. A hope that change IS possible. A hope and belief that YOU deserve to feel good, healthy, vibrant, happy, safe, and successful.
